play ball

On Saturday Luke had his first TBall game.  It was so cold and windy.  At the start of the game it even started raining.  I was able to moved Grace into the dug out and out of the elements.  Thankfully, the rain didn't last too long, but it was cold and windy. 

Luke had fun and did really well.  He batted lead off, because his shirt number is 1.  He got a hit and made it to base before the other team even picked up the ball. 

Here he is running home.  You can see we had to put his fleece jacket on under his jersey because it was cold out.

I love this picture.  He was sitting on the bench after batting.  He looks so cute.

Grace was all bundled up in two blankets, so she was able to stay pretty warm during the game.

And John had fun playing in the woods during the game.  Which is where Luke has spent the last two seasons playing during John's games and practices.  I guess playing with trees never gets old.

Overall it was a great time.  And Luke had so much fun playing.  After the game, the kids all go to the concession stand and get hot dogs.  I believe this is Luke's favorite part of playing baseball...
