my blog break is over

I have sat down several times over the past two weeks to update the blog and nothing would come, or I'd have a great idea and then by the time I had a chance to sit at the computer the idea was gone.  So, I didn't plan too but it appears that I needed a little bloggy break.

I'd love to be able to say that in the past two weeks I accomplished a lot.  Like I finally completely de-cluttered the house, giving away tons of extra stuff that we have kept that we do not need.  Or I finished several major decorating projects that need to be finished.  Or I spent quality time on the kid's scrapbooks and got them up to date.  Or I finally got our office into shape, our businesses up to date and our taxes filed.

Since I like to be truthful, I can't say that I accomplished any of those things in the past two weeks.  But I did spend the last two weeks living life.  Our family life.  Which includes all the normal, typical stuff that involves one husband, three children, a house, two businesses, church, extended family and so much more that can keep one really busy.

Lately, I've been trying to evaluate what I'm doing and what I spend my time on.  Not in the 'what do you do all day?' sense that I get used to get asked all the time by my friends that worked.  But in sense of; am I spending my time on the things that I enjoy, that I am passionate about (and just what am I passionate about), am I doing what I'm supposed to be doing with my gifts, talents and abilities and am I doing what I was put here to do?

Lots of times, I feel that I our lives get so busy we miss the point or purpose of our lives.  I certainly feel that I was put here to parent the children we have been given, so that is one calling on my life.  But what else?   I'm looking forward to finding out the answers.

In the meantime, I haven't taken too many pictures lately.  But here are a few I thought I'd share...

Baby Colin got baptized last weekend.

It is hard to believe he is already six months old!

The boys love to do crafts, as long as they are not too girly.  So we painted dinosaurs

We got together for my mom's birthday and thought it would be fun to get a cousins picture.  This is the best we could do.  Poor little Grace was getting a cold and not happy at all.

Then Luke and Joe sat in a box and watched a movie.

I'm not sure why, but they both loved it and thought it was fun.  After dinner Luke whispered to Joe 'can we go back to our secret place to watch the video'.  Which was hilarious because the box was in the middle of the room.  Cousins are cool!

My blog break is officially over and I will begin again to post regurlarly!

Welcome back. Colin is a handsome lil guy! and I love the pic of the cousins. I always try to take a pic of the cousins when they are together, and usually they are one or two looking away or crying! so yours turned out pretty good!

Breaks are nice. It looks like you enjoyed the time off. I love the box idea...why is it that boxes are so fun?

Hi Anne, I understand about spending more quality time with your family than on the computer blogging! Nice family photos!
