I'm really sick of the snow. It's gone from being fun and exciting to never ending. And, I've been told we are getting more snow this weekend some time. Yesterday after school the kids played in the snow with Mark for hours. They didn't want to come in and eat dinner they were having so much fun building an igloo. John said, 'you know mom, for a place to hang out in'. I thought why does a 6 year old need a place to hang out? Anyway, he has it all planned out. We are all going to get our own chair and blanket, we will build a fire, and watch not one but two videos. It was so cute to hear him tell me his plans. John is so exciting and expressive.
I don't have any pictures that re-tell a typical day in our life. Truth be told, our life it pretty boring. And I keep it that way on purpose. The kids are in minimal activities right now and we are focusing on keeping our activities simple. So here are some random pictures from our house.
Luke came into the kitchen and announced that his head was broke and he needed a bantaind RIGHT NOW. So I gave him a bandaid and this is where he put it. He wore it the whole day and everyone who saw him asked about it. And he said the same thing, 'my head broke today'
It's all better now, just in case you were wondering :)
Grace found Aunt Mindy's laundry basket and thought it made a good toy. She spent about 15 minutes playing it it.
She was screaming and laughing so loud, it was pretty funny to watch her get herself into the basket and then back out. Simple pleasures indeed.
I hope everyone has a great Friday and an awesome weekend! To check out more FFF posts go to Hannah's awesome blog here.

Don't band aids make every boo-boo better..or at least kiddies sure think they do;)
Such cute pics..
I'm SO over this snow too! And we're to get a "measurable" snow Sun/Mon. Let's pack up and move somewhere sunny and warm :-)
Love the stories about the igloo and the broken head. Kid's imaginations are amazing! And Crista still loves our laundry basket. Its her house she tells me :-)
Have a great weekend!
Our lives are pretty "boring" too. But, the kiddos sure keep us smiling!
Love the band-aid in the head!
You took the words right out of my mouth. I am SO over this snow! My kids are even bored with it. I normally can't get the Russian Meatball out of the snow but he is ready for it to be gone.
Sophia LOVES the laundry basket too! Crazy girls :)
Such great pictures!
I like the sound of 'simple'...wish our lives were that! I think life can get far too busy and I really like your idea to simplify things. I need to keeping remembering that and try and do that.
And very cute pics!
Hope the snow lets up soon for you.
Take care,
Anna
