These pictures were taken a few weeks ago when we had our first snow fall of the year. John and Luke LOVE the snow. This is the first year that they stayed out in the snow for longer than the time it took to get them dressed and ready to play in the snow. Last year it would take about 15 minutes to get their boots, jackets, hats, gloves and everything on them and then they would stay outside for about 5 minutes. Primarily because they spent most of those 5 minutes eating the snow and then would be too cold to play.
These pictures are actually the day after the snow, when it had mostly melted or been eaten by Luke. But, this was also Grace's first time out in the snow. In past years, since she couldn't stand up or walk by herself, I just kept her inside while the boys played in or ate the snow (which of course, gave me an excuse to stay inside where it was warm). Grace loves to walk now that she can and being in the ice and snow was no different. She spent about 15 minutes just walking around on our deck. She will NOT wear a hat, gloves or mittens or boots. Actually, I'm tempted to get a video of her when I put boots on her. It was so funny! She couldn't figure out what they were so she refused to put her feet down.
I just love watching her walk. It still amazes us that she can do it after so long:)
