I thought I'd do a catch up post in list format, since I love a good list...
1. I can't download pictures from my camera to my computer. So this will be one of the few picture-less posts on my blog. I'm not sure why, but when I put my SD card into my hard drive nothing happens. Up until last week, this would download the pictures from the card to my PC. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Actually, I keep inserting the picture card hoping it will just work this time. I know, I know, I'm very technical.
2. I went running yesterday at 2:30, which was quite possibly the hottest time of day on the hottest day this year. It might not have been the best idea I've ever had. But I felt so good and my muscles were so loose that I ran my little 3 mile loop in my fastest time so far. Using fast in that sentence is a bit of a stretch since I'm not a fast runner, but it was fast for me!
3. We went to two pool parties this past weekend. It is so fun to have friends with in ground pools. And very generous friends at that. The boys loved being in the pool and it was a struggle to get them out. Both boys are doing really well in the water this year, so it should be a fun summer.
4. Grace did well in the pool too. She did not cry and loved watching all the kids jump, splash and play. Hopefully, this will be a good year for Grace in the pool too. Last year, she cried almost every time we took her in the water. So like any good parents, we took her a lot to try and get her over her fear of water.
5. We went to our church's Assistant Youth Pastor's wedding this past weekend. It was so fun. They had a beautiful church ceremony followed by an amazing outdoor reception. The weather Saturday was just perfect for an outdoor reception. We had a great time with so many of our good friends. Unfortunately, I had a mini-meltdown. Sometimes, these moments just sneak up on me and take my breath away. We were having a blast at the reception and then the bride and her dad started dancing for their dance. All of the sudden, it was as if all of the air in the tent got sucked out and I could not breathe. I got up to leave and my friends thought I was going to use the bathroom, so they came with me. As we were walking to the most amazing port-a-potty I've ever seen, I started crying. It hit me, that Mark will never dance with Grace at her wedding. And that is hard to face. Most days I live in the present with Grace and her disabilities, but sometimes I get a glimpse of what we are missing or what we will miss having a child like Grace and it is difficult to face. Thankfully, my friends just let me cry a little, hugged me and agreed that it sucked. It is good to have friends like that.
6. We have started our summer fun list with the kids and it is off to a great start. This is something we haven't done before but I saw it on a few blogs and it seemed like a great idea. We are basically listing a bunch of things that we want to do as a family or just with me and the kids before the summer is over. High on our list are seeing Cars 2 in June, blueberry picking and going to a rodeo. I'll post our complete list when it's done.
7. We seem to have moved directly into summer weather here in the North East or Mid Atlantic, I'm not really sure where we fall technically on the maps. It has been 90 or close to it recently and it feels more like July than May. John still has 3 weeks of school left and so far they haven't turned on the air conditioning at his school.
8. John lost one of his front teeth last week. After many weeks of it hanging on it finally came out. Now the other tooth is loose and he hopes to loose it more quickly than the first. We can already see his permenant tooth coming in.
That's it for my list. I like to end on an even number so I'm going to stop there. Have a good day!

Hi Anne,
That's a great way to stay focused while writing. I tend to ramble and I know I have numerous grammatical errors... perhaps it would look better if I made lists too!
My heart went out to you when you mentioned Grace and the chances of her getting married... that may not be in her future but she does look like her life is filled with joy. I would be like you, thinking ahead of what she might miss and grieving a bit over it. You're a wonderful mom to all of your kids!! God Bless!
I love your list format:) I am a list kind of girl, too! Now I'm off to make my summer fun list...so far it's just been floating around in my head, but you've just reminded me that I need to write it down:)
