august: in review...

All in all we had a great summer.  Some days were great fun and other days dragged on forever.  But thankfully we had many more great fun days than not.  As we came home from camp and I realized that we were heading into the home stretch of summer vacation, we renewed our efforts to have fun and enjoy our time off.  We balanced fun filled, activity packed days with lazy stay in your pjs days and it was great.  Here are my favorite pictures from our summer days...

We went to the Plumpton Park Zoo again this year.  It made me laugh as I was looking through these pictures because many are the exact same as last year's visit to the zoo.

We went to the aquarium with my mom one day.  It was really fun.  It is a much bigger aquarium than the boys are used to going too. They have a few exhibits where you get to touch the animals, so we touched sharks and sting rays.  The boys loved it!  However, we went during Shark Week and it was super crowded.  They have this glass tunnel that you walk through and the sharks swim over your head.  It was so cool, but watching the shows of sharks attacking people the day before made Luke a little scared to walk through it.

Overall, August was like a walk off grand slam.  It was a great way to end our summer!

Hi Anne,

Your boys look so tiny up against the shark mural! How fun that they got to touch sharks and stingrays. Super fun!
